May Matters -Day 16- Happy Teacher's Day

Well, today was Teacher's Appreciation Day here in Malaysia, which personally I think, a very nice idea- of course I'm biased!
But anyway, it is nice to be appreciated every once in a while. I know they have this in other countries on different dates, or not all in others- The UK for one- Doesn't that tell you something?! But today was Malaysia's turn.
Anyway, I appreciate being appreciated and it made for a very pleasant day as the majority of the children said ' Happy Teacher's day' to me as we were doing register this morning.
So for everyone out there, who has something to do with education- Happy Teachers's Day.

  1. We don't have a day like this in Greece. Instead we 'honour' teachers with cutting down their salaries and laying them off dut to the economic crisis...Anyway...I'm really frustrated with the whole situation...Happy teacher's day to you...and me!

    1. The story is very true in the UK too, hence the fact I now teach abroad!! Iknow there isn't a teachers day there either but it's certainly nice when you get an official day to be recognised for the work you do. I Hope things pick up for you. Happy teacher's day.
