A Simple Women's Day Book- March and some Butterflies!

I usually have a mid month musings, prompted by my participation in thesimplewomansdaybookbut I'm a couple of days early with it, as I seem to have so much I want to post and not anytime to do so- My draft post lists are just getting longer- Not a bad thing I suppose:)

Before that though I just wanted to show you some images of some some real Butterflies. After my entry for '1 photo, 20 words' of Butterflies, here, I felt I had cheated you all out of some real live butterflies and thought I'd set the record straight. So alongside this simple women's post- I've popped in some pics of some local butterflies:)

So, back to my mid month musings:)

Outside my window...It's been a gloriously sunny day. About 32 Degrees, hot and humid. Now the sun is setting and the colours are just lovely. It's the golden hour and indeed the colours are warm and soft. It's my favourite time of day and I'm happy just sitting here and taking it all in.
I am thinking... that however much I am enjoying the evening- i really must get on and get some stuff done. I have school work to do, my apartment to sort out and my kitchen to blitz.
I am thankful.. that this week is a little less stressful and busy as last week. I may have a class assembly to produce by Friday, but finger's crossed it 'will be alright on the night'.
I am creating.. some new files on my computer, to try and organise my photos and I am also in the process of adding new pages to my art journal. I'm also contemplating making a few blog page or changing mine around a bit- but that's just in the early ideas stage.
I am wearing another one of my old faithful dresses- Its a little big, particularly around the neck line, so I have to wear a vest t-shirt under it to remain decent! It's from White Stuff (As usual!) but is a couple of years old. My green ballet pumps are just about falling of my feet- but until they do- I Shall still wear them. I'm also wearing some Borneo beads, made by my friend Saija.

In my kitchen..I've just made some homemade vanilla ice cream, topped with some wafer biscuits. (I had lots of  cream to use up!) I also decided to make a quiche for dinner- which which probably do me for quite a few packed lunches too.

I am going to a 'Nia' dance class this week-It's a mixture of dance, tai chi and yoga moves. I've only been once but really enjoyed the session, so i'm planning to go again. I'm also going to be making some bread tomorrow- It's on my 52 Things to do list, so I'm looking forward to not only learning something new but also to be able to cross something off my list.

I am wondering whether to get my hair cut this weekend- a very trivial girly thing to think about- but it's one of those things that's going around in my head at the minute.

I am reading ..a few things: a new thriller by David Baldacci, a chic lit by Jenny Colgan and I still have Miranda Hart's Autobiography to finish- None of them are too taxing.

I am hoping that my class pull out all the stops on Friday and give a great performance for their class asssembly.

I am looking forward to the Easter break in a few weeks time- I'm off to Cambodia and Myanmar.

I am Learning a lot about Cambodia and Myanmar through borrowed guide books and travel websites.

Around the house i have stuff everywhere. I really must get round to sorting some things out:)

I am pondering over what to do over the next few months- so many things I would like to do- but time(and limited money) is of the essence- Hence my planning quote!

A favourite quote...

One of my favourite things is sitting on my balcony at the end of the day, just as the sun goes down.
A few plans for the rest of my day..I need to wash the dishes, eat dinner, get my clothes out for tomorrow, catch up on some blog reading and then get to bed at a decent time.

A glimpse of my Day...
Top left clockwise: Sitting at dusk on my balcony, a gloriuos sunset, catching up with my emails and blogs, another day at school, setting sun from my balcony, our class assembly practice, making quiche for Supper.

Hope you have had a good day too

    1. Thank you Amy, finger's crossed it will, although we've had lots of trials and tribulations surrounding it- no practice time, kids off sick etc- so who knows:)

  8. Like everyone else, I'm really enjoying these posts and the glimpses of how your life and thoughts evolve over the weeks. The butterflies are amazing - how wonderful to see them in the wild rather than a butterfly house. Fancying a piece of that quiche too :)
