First and last- A scavenger Hunt

Wednesday January 1st 2014
Happy New Year to you all, on this first day of January 2014. But before I carry on with looking forward,  I want to take a look back at the last Scavenger hunt of 2013. Joining in with Suzie at Madewithlove here are my December Scavenger hunt photos.
I found some of them quite tricky as I was trying not to associate them all to Christmas- But in the end I gave up and went with what I could find- Not my best efforts but I'm glad I stuck at it. I love doing the scavenger hunts and am already looking forward to continuing them in 2014.

Religious Icon
Not sure if this fits the criteria, but my little Nativity scene was the first thing I thought of. I've had this since 1989 when I bought part of it at a local craft fair- I was a student nurse at the time and could only afford Mary, Joseph and Jesus. The next year I added to my collection and also the year after. I never did manage to complete the scene- My Three Wise Men were later additions courtesy of tree decorations from Marks and Spencers!

Movement

Deliberately trying to get the blurred movement that my class were making, whilst dancing around at our class Christmas party.

 Words

So that's that- My December Scavenger Hunt- Camera is at the ready for the next one!

And so that leads me onto 2014
But I'll fill you in with the details tomorrow! :)

  3. Super photos! I was interested in your Cumberland recipe books since I was born in Carlisle ~ although immigrated to Canada many years ago. Sweet story about your nativity set ~ all the food, including lunch and cakes, look delectably delicious! The movement photo of your class is perfect for the category. A very Happy New Year!

    1. Thank you, and a Happy new year to you. I'm Wigton born and bred (well technically Carlisle hospital) and the recipe books belong to my Grandma. I love looking at the old WI books, they always have such interesting stuff in them. Nice to say hello to a fellow Cumbrian:)
