Gosh two posts in one day! But I really wanted to post this one:)
I really enjoyed taking photos of November's Scavenger Hunt- For a lot of the photographs I used my time in Singapore to find a few things that were different, than here in Sabah. I'm really enjoying snapping away at the minute- as I've started a couple of new photo challenges, so I'm looking forward to getting on with December's list soon. Here you are then, joining in with MadewithLove, here are my November Pictures.
Pattern
Ok, so I tried really hard to stick to one pattern photo- but then decided that as these were all in the same place I could justify having them as one entry! Patterns found at Raffles Hotel in Singapore. I particularly like the repetition of the biscuits in the old fashioned biscuit boxes on the shelf in the bakery:)
Happiness
Happiness is a cupcake or two or twenty:)
5
5 seconds to cross the road!

Staircase
In the Long Bar at Raffles, the spiral staircase leads to an upper floor- I wouldn't like to try to come down it if I'd partaken of a few too many Singapore Slings!
Boxes
Boxes
The traditional boxes of peanuts on the Long Bar tables- Shells on the floor is the norm:)
Bread
Bread for sale in Raffle's Bakery
Pair
Whilst I was in Singapore I purchased a matching pair of silver charms- One for my Charm Bracelet- and one for Debs:)
Traffic
Traffic
A different sort of traffic jam- Waiting for Air Traffic control to say we can take off from Singapore:)
Rain
It rained and it rained!
Sunset
A different sunset from my usual Sabah ones. This time, I took a photograph of the Sunset from the plane window, looking down onto the Melaka straits and Singapore Bay.
See you tomorrow for day 2 of my advent calendar- and a review of my Photo a day for November:)

A great set of photos again so how to choose a favourite?! Well I can't choose just one so...love the cupcakes, boxes and baubles. I'm also impressed with rain as it turned out to be more difficult than I thought to photograph rain and you managed it brilliantly! x
ReplyDeleteThe rain was torrential- as usual over in this neck of the words- so sheer volume and opportunity helped- But thanks for the nice comments:)
DeleteIt looks as though you had a great time in Singapore, I would love to go to Raffles and have a Singapore sling one day! xx
ReplyDeleteIt's a little too handy for us- a couple of hours flight- so It's my current destination of choice -if money would allow of course!
DeleteThanks for taking part in this months scavenger hunt. So many great photos you have taken, I'm glad you are enjoying the hunt. I really like your photos of pair, traffic, rain and patterns. Greenthumb.
ReplyDeleteThanks for hosting, looking forward to doing December's list:)
DeleteGreat collection of photos. Raffles was a good place for photographs it seems! I love those little boxes of nuts and the staircase. I like your take on traffic too, and the sunset is lovely.
ReplyDeleteRaffles was a good place to be- and for once didn't have a Singapore sling-! The sunset was pure fluke looking out of the window just as the sun was going down- I have so many spectacular sunsets here, that a Singapore one was a bit different:)
DeleteThose cupcakes look very tasty, would make me happy too!
ReplyDeleteI was very restrained and stopped at one- but cupcakes will always make me happy:)
DeleteAmazing photos... no way to choose a favorite. Thank you so much for sharing your adventures. Your interpretation of the Scavenger Hunt was so fun! Smiles..Susan
ReplyDeleteThanks for the nice comments- welcome to my blog:)
DeleteGreat photos, and I'm with you on your happiness choice!
ReplyDeleteThe planes are so clever!! Wow, you stayed at Raffles??? X
ReplyDeleteI so enjoyed your post, Amanda. When I saw those paddles in the first foursome, I immediately thought Long Bar, Raffles Hotel! Decades ago I was in a restaurant in Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada. My friend and I ordered Singapore Slings trying to look like sophisticated young ladies. The placemats in the restaurant told the story of the Singapore Sling ~ of all things. I swore that one day I would go to Singapore and have a drink at the Long Bar ~ and I did only once, although I've been to Singapore several times. I didn't get to stay at Raffles though ~ we stayed at the New 7th Story Hotel and once at the Pan Pacific (so bland and sanitized after the 7th!). How sad I was to learn that it had been demolished! We used to get off at the Bugis stop and run through the streets with our suitcases to the 7th! Thanks for the memories! Now I'll go check your advent photos!
