Scavenger Hunt for April

A little later than I would usually post but I'm Joining in with Greenthumb for April's Scavenger Hunt. No apologies for having too many photographs, I seemed to have far too many for each picture. Cambodia was the perfect place to take photographs and so I continued to do so:)
So getting on with my very Cambodian Scavenger Hunt, here's my take on...

A is for
Angkor Wat at sunrise.

Smooth
The floor tiles were so smooth and shiny around the monument, for a moment I thought they were covered in water.

11am
Sightseeing around the temples at Angkor- and not just for us tourists!

Match
On every street corner, there were groups of men having chess matches, or backgammon or the like.

Path
A path leading up to the National Museum in Phenom Pehn or one that leads along the edge of the river

Layers
Layers of carved stone at a temple or layers worth of peeling paint.

Scales
Carved scales of a sacred serpent or scales being used by a little boy weighing bananas

Logo
Probably the most famous logo in the world- and more of a local one- the local beer.

Tiles
There were lots of broken tiles lying around the streets- but I loved the bright roof tiles of the Palace.

Scrap
Everywhere you looked people were collecting, sorting and utilizing scrap.

Lorry
The lorry at the top must be the most cumbersome load I have ever seen! Although I did like the photo of all the people sat on the top of the farm lorry..but the again this lorry seemed a little top heavy too!

Carry
Everywhere you looked there was someone carrying something!

There you go, another month gone by and another Scavenger hunt. See you at the end of this month for another one:)

  1. Wow, you have some really great choices there!!! Indeed so much to see, that lorry looks as though it would be impossible for it to move, amazing how they pile them up and they keep going. Can you imagine if that tried to go round the M25 or something!! Hope that you are having a good weekend. xx

  4. Fascinating pictures! I can imagine how difficult it was to just pick out a few. I really love 11AM with the yellow robes of the monks against the gray carved stone.

  7. I would love to visit Cambodia after seeing your photos. What a great way to get to know another country. I loved your take on smooth most of all. I was convinced the floor was wet until I read the caption. The lorries are just amazing, isn't it a miracle that they are still functional with all the stuff loaded on?
