‘Gong Hei Fatt Choy’ or ‘Gong Xi Fa Cai’ which means a Happy Chinese New Year to you all.
This week we've been celebrating Chinese New year.
It started off with a visit to school by a local troop of Dragon and Lion dancers.
We had 18 lions visiting- and one long fiery dragon.
Rather than tell you all about it- I'm just going to leave you with some images, that tell the story of the day, far better than I ever would.
We all had a great time being entertained by dragons, and everyone clambered to try to touch the crown of a lion.
It was a wonderful and colourful spectacle.

ReplyDeleteThere was a Chinese market and parade in Manchester this weekend and I so wanted to go but I've had a poorly tummy and had to give it a miss. Your photos were the next best thing. x
