Photo Heart Connection is a monthly link up with Kat at Kateyestudio. It's the coming together of picture and emotions, something that speaks to us through our photos, taken throughout the month before:)
For my March connection, I was drawn to this image - shadows on the beach at Gaya, I love the lines that lead to the sea- like a giant hand stretching its fingers to reach the water. But mostly I love the memories it evokes- of lying on golden sand, on a Saturday afternoon, in term time. Shaded by the tree, yet the hot sun filters through the leaves. Book in hand, ears filled with the gentle lapping of the waves, a faint smell of leaves from the dense jungle behind and a stillness of mind. Time to just sit, breathe and just be. Soaking it all up and storing it into those memory banks for a time later, when darker, hectic days are the norm and beach days will be a thing of the past.
And I couldn't resist giving you the full picture...Idyllic!
Spring -Day 14
Yet more Spring Rain- Torrential and Thundery!!
The beach at Gaya sound just like paradise. Warm, peaceful, relaxing - in comparison to the smog filled pollution that we are experiencing here in London today. Hopefully it will swan off tomorrow and sunnier days will be back again. Enjoy.

The beach sounds idyllic and looks beautiful, I love the way that you captured the shadows on the sand and your description of the hot and the shade at the same time! You are so very descriptive in your writing that I can almost feel that I am there! xx
ReplyDeleteGreat photos, I really like the shadow.
ReplyDeleteSounds good to be sitting on the beach, lovely photos.
ReplyDeleteThose are such beautifufl images. Sarah x
ReplyDeleteOh yes, idyllic indeed! I want to go there. Now!!
ReplyDeleteOutstanding and so well seen. I love how the shadow leads straight into the water!
ReplyDeleteI loved the shadows on the sand and that view is to die for. x
ReplyDeleteThat beach looks heavenly! The full picture is very nice, but I really like the way you cropped the photo to just the sand, water, and shadow. Somehow that lets me put myself into the picture and imagine the rest of it. Lovely Photo-Heart Connection.
ReplyDeleteThank you I actually took about 20 photos all slightly different angles, zooms and positions, I just loved the shadows on the sand. Thanks for popping over :)
DeleteOh! what an absolutely beautiful beach! I love that you chose the cropped image for your PHC, it's perfect.
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous image! This is one of those images that can speak a different story to each person. I had my own story when I saw it, and then I read yours. It didn't detract from my story, just added another layer to it. Wouldn't it be fun to pile up all of the stories that people see, from this one image? Thank you for sharing in the Photo-Heart Connection!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous image, the way you´ve cropped it makes it even more beautiful and interesting. Fantastic photo-heart connection
