Scavenger Hunt for January

Oh joy of joys, I have my laptop back!!! and to celebrate the fact I can actually post something properly here are my Scavenger hunt pics for January. Thanks to Greenthumb for hosting this wonderful hunt. :)
Some extra large planters, found at the Garden Centre.

This bowl was on the windowsill in the school corridor. I have worked there for over 10 years and never even noticed it before! It must be a new addition! It does match our school colours though.

Supermarket bottles of wine, at too good a price not to indulge!

A cold and snowy deserted playground.

Little bulbs hidden from view in the soil- I wonder what they will turn out to be.

In the Fridge
Lots of different bottles in the store fridge

A very early morning landscape, Taken on my way to work. It was a very cold and frosty day.

This is my 'new' pinafore. It's new to me, but it's a 1960s welsh wool pinafore dress that I acquired from the local retro and vintage shop.

Textured embroidery on my new White Stuff skirt.

Up High
The aforementioned Vintage shop-Lots of things hanging up.

Whatever I want
I couldn't resist taking a photo of all these lovely colourful threads.

Wintery words on one of our school display boards.

So there you go, my January pics. Roll on February!

However I could nt leave without giving you a taster of something pretty, that I will blog about in a future post. It's a lovely Greeting card, by an artist called Chelsea Groves.

I love the colours- What do you think?

  1. Great photos, Amanda. Love those enormous teacups and a stunning landscape. At first I thought you'd bought all that wine - but it's still on the supermarket stand isn't it??? Those cards are really pretty - I think I could make an embroidery out of them. x

  2. Thanks for taking part in this months scavenger hunt. I always like how different you photos are now from this time last year. Great photos of landscape up high, words and hidden. Greenthumb

  3. Great finds! I love the different threads, how beautiful! xx

  4. I love how you fill your photos with vibrant color, Amanda! As I look at the snowy playground, I can't help wondering if you miss Kinabalu. The greeting cards are gorgeous! Have a great week!

  5. Hi Amanda! Fabulous photos my dear. What a good idea for the bottles in the fridge- I struggled with that one as all my photos looked bad!! Your pinafore is beautiful!xx

  6. Hi Amanda, lovely set of photos, just love the greeting cards..colour and birds two of my favourite things.
    Amanda xx

  7. Crikey, it must be a while since I played as you were living in the South Seas then...not so more I see.
Love your Welsh tapestry pinnie...... v. envious! Up high is great, I do love a vintage shop and the pic of the threads is so vibrant and cheerful.

  8. A cheery set of photos, mixed with a bit of chilly weather just to balance out the season. Many lovely items to look at :)

If you'd like to make a comment I'd love to hear from you. Thanks :)
